Deerhunter Play New Songs In North Carolina
While on tour with Spoon across America, Deerhunter have been busting out new tracks, presumably from their in-the-works fourth album. A giving YouTuber has uploaded pretty clean takes of three new songs, and they're right here for your perusal. "Revival" is above, and it's got a Microcastle, dream-pop aura, just like "Primitive 3-D" (first below, which also has a little Strokes in it). "Fountain Stairs" is the final one below, and it features vocals not from Bradford Cox, but from guitarist Lockett Pundt. And like the other two, it's more pop-oriented and organized than anything you could have expected from this band post-Cryptograms.
