Taking a page from thispastSeptember's stateside edition of the venerable All Tomorrow's Parties music festival, the Matt Groening-curated event has added Deerhunter, Daniel Johnston, and Panda Bear to the lineup. These new additions join the already-announced Shonen Knife, Boredoms, The Raincoats, James Blackshaw, The Residents and others who will perform at Butlins in Minehead May 7-9, 2010. Groening previously curated a 2003 U.S. edition of All Tomorrow's Parties in Long Beach, CA. That iteration suffered a number of setbacks including slow ticket sales which forced the event to be rescheduled and scaled back, as well as the tragic death of scheduled performer Elliott Smith mere weeks before the festival. If traveling to the UK sounds a bit daunting, don't forget that initial details of next year's U.S. ATP in upstate New York were recently announced.
