April 19 may be the traditional celebration of Bicycle Day, but this year, ride your bike over to your local record store (you know, that place with all The Strokes posters) and celebrate Record Store Day.
And unlike Bicycle Day, you’ll get more than chafing, sweat, and a horrific wedgie if you choose to celebrate Record Store Day. You can get 7” from some of the coolest bands around.
It was already announced a few weeks ago that Vampire Weekend and Stephen Malkmus would be celebrating the day with exclusive singles. Well, now it seems Built to Spill, Death Cab for Cutie, R.E.M., and The Black Keys are getting in on the fun as each band is releasing a new single to commemorate the occasion.
The Black Keys:
01 Strange Times
02 Something on Your Mind [previously unreleased]
Built to Spill:
01 Don't Try [live, previously unreleased]
02 The Source [live, previously unreleased]
Death Cab for Cutie:
01 I Will Possess Your Heart (10" Mix)
02 I Will Possess Your Heart (7" Mix)
R.E.M.:
01 Supernatural Superserious
02 Airliner [non-LP B-side]

Pretty cool to have some big name boards on board for this since it will help bring more exposure to the day.
