Once upon a time Death Cab for Cutie was a favorite among the indie-rock crowd, although it had detractors from the start for its sappy style of indie pop. Fast forward to today and you have one of the biggest bands in indie rock--although is it right to call it indie rock when the band's not on an indie label and its sound is probably too polished to fit in that genre?Although we may lose whatever cool points we had, in keeping with our efforts to let you know of free stuff on the Internet we point you toward a recent DCFC show in Boston recorded by Bradley's Almanac on November 2, 2006. Like all recordings I've listened to from Bradley's, the sound is amazing. Enjoy, DCFC fans; everyone else, ignore this post.
