David Letterman says he doesn’t hate Mitt Romney, after the presidential candidate slammed him in those infamous leaked fundraiser videos.
Romney claimed that Letterman harbored ill feelings toward him over his appearances on competitor Jay Leno’s The Tonight Show. "I've been on 'Letterman' a couple of times," Romney said in the leaked video , "I've been on Leno more than a couple times, and now Letterman hates me because I've been on Leno more than him. They're very jealous of one another, as you know."
However, Letterman does not seem to be phased by the comments and has even invited Romney to appear on The Late Show. Regarding Romney’s appearance on The Tonight Show, Letterman joked, “Why hate a guy who's suffered through that?” He also added that “[Comedians are] very jealous and bitter and backbiting—unlike politics."
Barack Obama appeared on Tuesday’s Late Show and condemned Romney’s controversial fundraiser statements. “If you want to be president, you gotta work for everybody, not just for some,” said Obama. [Yahoo]
