Patron saint of avant-folk David Garland has just released a video for "Diorama," from his latest album, The Noise In You. The tune itself includes guest appearances from such stellar freak-folk types as Sufjan Stevens and Diane Cluck, while the video finds everyone from Viking Moses to Garland's own family popping up. Making the whole thing perhaps even more intriguing is the fact that the simple, evocative video was shot and directed by none other than Amber Benson and Adam Busch, who many will undoubtedly know for their roles on Buffy The Vampire Slayer. One of the pair's real directorial masterstrokes was to use the miniatures of Garland's wife Anne's Luminous Playhouse project to bring the song's concept to life.
