We’ve known for a while now that St. Vincent and David Byrne were working on a collaborative album together, and now further news on the project has emerged. Annie Clark spoke to Rolling Stone about the record at Coachella this weekend, where she also debuted a new song titled “Krokodil.”
The article claims the LP between the pair was reportedly inspired by Dirty Projectors and Bjork's Mount Wittenberg Orca, and will be released at some point in the fall. Clark said she they have completed the project, and a joint tour from the pair will be undertaken to promote it.
Byrne is no stranger to this kind of work, of course—his My Life in the Bush of Ghosts with Brian Eno remains one of the most fascinating projects he’s undertaken to date. "We just started writing and kept writing and writing," said Clark. "It just evolved to become this much bigger thing." [via Rolling Stone]
