David Bowie is almost 70 years old. If you’re reading this now, he’s most likely more than old enough to be your grandfather. But the music that he makes is still quite relevant even in today’s chaotic landscape of wishy washy, genre mashing artists. But the man who has traveled through time and decades of genres has been able to remain relevant with his ability to correspond with what is not only changing in music but the time and world around him.
His new track “Tis A Pity She Was A Whore” transcends time with its eclectic sounds that almost sounds otherworldly. From the crashing percussion, disjointed eighties keys – it almost sounds it actually belongs in the future. Bowie describes it as “if Vorticists wrote Rock Music.”
The track comes off as a B-side from his recent single “Sue (Or In A Season of Crime).”
