David Bowie not resurrecting Ziggy Stardust, Coachella lineup set to be announced today

The least surprising news of the day is that David Bowie is not resurrecting his Ziggy Stardust character for this year’s Coachella. A representative for the star told NME.com that he has “no plans to play” the festival this year, and the Coachella organizers have also denied the claims. There will also be no repeat performances from Daft Punk and Radiohead, at least not this year.

KROQ has announced via Twitter that they will be releasing the lineup for Coachella some time this morning. Another, earlier posting on their Twitter feed reads “Word on the street is that the Coachella announcement is being postponed. Will pass along an update as soon as possible.” The Daily Swarm seems pretty confident the announcement will go ahead, and is indicating that Paul McCartney may play the festival under his Fireman moniker.

KROQ LA deleted the later Twitter post about releasing the lineup this morning, so I guess the postponement still stands.

This should still prove interesting. The music industry has proven to have some pumps in the road like everything else. But getting into the industry would never be timed better than now. And finding yourself apart of any show and being trained on real gigs is the way to go. RC trains in 6 months http://www.recordingconnection.com get inside the music industry

Hey Doe, there is no Bowie song named "Rocket Launcher." Shows how little you know.
