David Bowie Doesn't Twitter, and neither does Ziggy

In part 2 of Prefix's ongoing series of David Bowie denials, we now learn that the Twitter account @DavidBowie is an imposter account. That means all posts made on that account are nothing but lies. As of now, that means 1 post, where the fake David Bowie tweeted "Cheers from a snowy Berlin! Working on some new material!" Never have such an intensely speculated rock star rumor been uttered in under 140 characters. But in a statement on his website, Bowie simply stated, ""David Bowie does not have a Twitter account."

The denial of new material come as at the same time David Bowie denies reviving Ziggy Stardust, and it's more rampant rumors about the human rock chameleon's music career than we've heard in a while. Bowie stopped performing in 2004, and has sinced focused more on acting, such as playing Nikola Tesla in The Prestige, and being the only redeeming quality of this summer's Josh Hartnett flop August.
