But there is actual news behind throwing that bad boy back up. Ex-Pedro the Lion leader David Bazan has signed to venerable Seattle indie label Barsuk. The label will re-release Bazan's EP from last year, Fewer Moving Parts, next week. To refresh your memory, the EP has five songs, all done in two different ways--acoustic and full-band versions. It also features artwork by ex-Low bassist Zak Sally. Bazan is expected to have a new full-length out by early next year.
Bazan is currently finishing up a tour with Ben Gibbard and will put in some more support appearances in late June opening for the New Year.
