Nicolas Jaar and Dave Harrington have announced via Twitter that their space-rock EDM collaboration Darkside is “coming to an end, for now.” The duo will play a final show at the Masonic Temple in Brooklyn, NY on September 12. They have also released two farewell tracks, both outtakes from their sole 2013 album Psychic.
Jaar and Harrington first met while attending Brown University; they formed Darkside on tour in support of Jaar’s solo record, Space Is Only Noise, in 2011. Since then, the duo became known for their skillful meshing of jazz, progressive rock and techno, as well as abundantly visual, Pink Floyd-inspired live performances.
