Digital magic man Dan Deacon has set a Mar. 24 release date for Bromst, his proper follow-up to 2007's Spiderman of The Rings. Talking to CMJ about the album, Deacon said that the album has live instrumentation, something missing from Spiderman of The Rings. Also, according to Deacon the album will have a more percussive focus than its predecessor. The album was recorded in Maryland and Montana and will be released on Carpark Records, but that's four months away. If you're lucky enough to be in Brooklyn on Dec. 11, or are willing to scoot on over to that general area, you can catch Deacon play with a crazy 15-piece live set, and probably hear some selections from Bromst before he embarks on a brief three-city tour. 12.11 Brooklyn, NY: Brooklyn Masonic Temple
12.13 Denver, CO: Rhinoceropolis
12.19 Baltimore, MD: Sonar
12.29 Las Vegas, NV: House of Blues
