Dan Deacon song used in Crayola ad (Video)

Why does Crayola even advertise? It’s not like anyone ever thinks, “hey, I think I’ll buy a box of crayons, but they have to be Crayola because those other crayons are pieces of shit.” Well, I guess they need to advertise for new products like this glow stick crayon thing that uses a Dan Deacon song in the ad (“Pink Batman” from Spiderman of the Rings to be precise). Deacon’s songs are often vibrant and colorful, so I guess the pairing makes sense, but I’m not sure that there’s anything in the song clip used here that would really differentiate it from a piece of music written by a industry hack.
