Another week, another musical project for Damon Albarn. The Blur/Gorillaz frontman has announced that he is in the Democratic Republic of Congo, where he is recording a quickie album over a seven-day period with a host of guest musicians. Among those joining Albarn are Dan the Automator, XL boss (and Gil Scott-Heron collaborator) Richard Russell, and post-dubstep artist Actress. The resulting album will be a benefit record for Oxfam, which Warp is apparently set to release at some point in the future. Head over to the DRC Music Twitter and Tumblr feeds for more information.
