Damon Albarn isn’t planning on getting any sleep in the next year. He has a new Gorillaz release due on Christmans Day, a mooted project with Flea and Tony Allen, and a rumored album to record with Blur. On top of that, he’s also scoring a short film adapted from a children’s book titled The Boy In The Oak, which was written by Albarn’s sister.
According to the Playlist, the movie will be directed by Luke Losey, who made his name directing music videos for Orbital and Mercury Rev, and will be narrated by actor Jude Law. The film is set for screenings in Spring 2011, so Albarn better hope he has a little more gas in the tank to get his score ready in time.
