Damon Albarn & Flea Dropping Rocketjuice And The Moon Debut In March

We all got to hear a taste of what Flea, Damon Albarn, and Tony Allen have been doing together as Rocketjuice and the Moon when live audio of their October concert hit the web. The audio rip also brought with it news that the guys had an eponymous album in the works, though it wasn’t exactly clear when we’d be hearing it.

Well, you can officially mark March 12 on your calendars if you reside in the U.K. For everyone in the States, a U.S. release date hasn’t been revealed yet, but I’m willing to be it gets announced soon. According to MOJO Magazine, the album features the likes of Erykah Badu, Malian musician Fatoumata Diawara, Minnesota-by-way-of-Ghana rapper M.Anifest, and the Hypnotic Brass Ensemble.

Hopefully this news means that we’ll be hearing studio material soon, though for now you can stream a live rip of “Poison” below. [CoS]
