Irish singer/songwriter Damien Rice will be playing a few select dates in the U.S. in December in support of his new album 9. The album is set for release November 14. Rice will be accompanied on the tour by the same band he spent the past two years recording 9 with, Lisa Hannigan (vocals), Vyvienne Long (cello), Tom Osander (drums and percussion), and Shane Fitzsimons (bass). Dates are as follows: 12-06 Oakland, CA - Paramount Theatre 12-08 Los Angeles, CA - Orpheum Theatre 12-11 Boston, MA - Orpheum Theatre 12-12 NYC - Beacon Theater 12-15 Philadelphia, PA - Tower Theatre 12-16 Washington, DC - Lincoln Theatre 12-18 Chicago, IL - Vic Theatre 12-20 Minneapolis, MN - Orpheum Theatre Also, be sure to catch Rice's upcoming TV performances. He's set to appear on Leno tonight, and Conan on November 17.
