Former Rock-a-fella CEO and rap impressario Damon Dash has had his fair share of financial hardship over the past few years. Edward Farrell, a lawyer representing equity fund Platinum Capitol, picked up Dame's Tribeca loft for a song at auction back 2010 (okay, $5.5 million). Farrell and Platimun then imediately attemted to unload the property for a cool $7.995 mil, but nobody bought.
The firm remains unbowed though. It has now listed the loft, which features a dizzying labyrinth of a closet that may well have once housed Dash's repossed sneaker collection, with Manhattan brokerage Douglas Elliman at an even higher price: $8.25 million.
