October 11 through 15 will see the DAM! Fest invading the rock clubs of America's Capitol. Damn, you may be saying to yourself, I'm confounded as to what DAM! stands for. It's District' Awake! Music, just so you know. Set to play the fest are acts including A Place to Bury Strangers, Cat Power and the Dirty Delta Blues, Cloud Cult, Craig Wedren, Dragons of Zynth, Casper and the Cookies, Dirty on Purpose, Hallelujah the Hills, Slaraffenland, Stellastarr*, and iLiKETRAins. (Look at the silly spellings on those last three. These kids in bands today are starting to remind me of Sarah Jessica Parker's ditzy character in L.A. Story.)
