Those two Daft Punk tracks that leaked last week aren't actual Daft Punk tracks, as the Internet has probably informed you by now (via formal letter, surely). Until now, there hasn't been much talk of who actually did the tracks. As far as "The Crash" is concerned, it is actually a track by Toronto group Pilotpriest, who are on little label Calamity Jane. For their part, Calamity Jane is rush-releasing the single, which is titled "Body Double," to iTunes soon in order to capitalize on the free publicity. Skeptics might wonder if the track was purposefully mislabeled: Calamity Jane is claiming it had nothing to do with it. [URB]
