Daft Punk tour rumors squashed

Daft Punk may be playing in your house (your house), but as for a concert equalling lasts year's ridiculously awesome Alive 2007 tour, you'll have to wait. The rumors of a coming Daft Punk tour have been steadfastly called false by press reps, despite an early excited report on Pitchfork. In short, it's not been a good two weeks for the leaders of the indie rock press.

 

Sadness! According to a representative from the Creative Artists Agency, Billboard.com's report quoting another CAA rep as saying that there is a Daft Punk tour in the works is false. "There are no plans for an upcoming Daft Punk tour, the information in the article is incorrect." We're told that Billboard.com is changing their story.

Sorry kids!

 

That's two times Pitchfork has issued an embarrasing apology in the past two weeks.

The show in Brooklyn was a life changing experience.
The encore almost threw me into a seizure and still whenever I hear their Alive album, I get chills all over my body.
When I heard this rumor, I knew right away it wasn't true. They are going to need more time and material to top their amazing pyramid set up.

I FOULED up not going to see them at Red Rocks in 2007. No one had introduced me to the power of electro before that time but in retrospect I realize how epic that must have been. I hope they tour again before I am too old to CHEEESE my brains out and jump around like a dumbass.

All I gotta say is, if Daft Punk was going to play one show in the U.S. this year, it would definitely be EDC L.A.
