Daft Punk Planning Special 'Events' For Tron Legacy Soundtrack

The jury is out on how the 21st century reimagining of sci-fi classic Tron will go down. But with Daft Punk on board as soundtrack composers, it at least looks set to contain some decent music (as long as Messrs. Bangalter and de Homem-Christo have put the disappointing Human After All firmly behind them),

Now Tron Legacy director Joseph Kosinski has really upped the ante by suggesting that Daft Punk may plan some special events around the soundtrack after it is released. Speaking at the Comic-Con in San Diego, he said: “there would definitely be Daft Punk Tron-themed events on the horizon."

Naturally, this has led to speculation that the band will tour the soundtrack, although it seems extremely premature to speculate on that based on this one comment. And besides, Kosinski is clearly a man who loves to weave a good yarn. He even claims that he met Daft Punk at a pancake breakfast in L.A. where they both wore their signature helmets.
