Cut Copy prepares for year-long tour

Australia's Cut Copy is riding high off the buzz of their second album In Ghost Colours and getting ready to hit the road again “until early next year,” bandleader Dan Whitford told Billboard.

The band is now back in their homeland, where the album reached No. 1 on the Australian Recording Industry Association chart in March. They will perform a series of shows at home before returning to the U.K. and North America later this summer.

Upcoming gigs include the Glastonbury Festival on June 26, San Francisco’s Download Festival and the Pitchfork Festival in Chicago, both in July.

"It's like you get a reward for touring and going back to play for people. Our audiences have grown from each show that we've done. I think its one of those things where you build a following from the ground up."

The album’s synth-heavy dancefloor ballad “Hearts On Fire” will be backed by a video crafted by Japanese director Nagi Noda to be released on July 21.
