The Cure postpone shows

Goths everywhere should prepare to run their mascara. The sad ones will certainly be even sadder to learn that The Cure has postponed it's September/October tour in order to focus more intently on the double album the band is finishing up. The band will make up the missed work in April and May of next year. Robert Smith and the rest of the boys will still headline the Download Festival going down October 6 in San Francisco, play the MTV Latin American Awards October 18, and put in three shows at Mexico City's Sports Palace October 20-22. Fans who had already nabbed tickets for the Fall shows will be able to either get a refund or switch them out for the Spring shows.
