Pioneering new wave the Cure is receiving the full tribute treatment, with sixteen of their most well known songs being covered by the likes of Cassettes Won’t Listen, Tanya Donnelly, Grand Duchy (Violet Clark and Black Francis), and the Wedding Present. The full track list is as follows:
01. Just Like Heaven by Joy Zipper 02. The Lovecats by Tanya Donnelly and Dylan at the Movies 03. Lovesong by The Brunettes 04. In Between Days by Kitty Karlyle 05. Though this is surely a sweet lineup, it seems someone would have thought to ask South Park studios for a contribution. Cartman’s take on the Cure would have been sweet. [CMJ]
Anybody catch Tanya Donnelly being consistently name-dropped on Gossip Girl? Not that I'm a fan of the show. My wife was watching it and I just heard that name, I swear.
