And I'm guessing it wouldn't take much to shock the majority of corn-fed Indianans. So they may indeed be in for a surprise when the starkly emontional Xiu Xiu invade Indiana University April 14 for Culture Shock Festival, put on by that school's radio station, WIUX-FM. Concertgoers, though, should welcome the more traditional rock stylings of Catfish Haven, David Vandervelde, Richard Swift, and Sunset Rubdown. Okay, maybe not Sunset Rubdown. Those dudes are pretty weird. Also appearing will be Racebannon, Black Moth Super Rainbow, Make Believe, and a host of other bands. Head to the fest's website for all the details. The all-day event is free, so if you're anywhere near Bloomington that weekend, um...GO. Because what else is there to do in Indiana? Seriously?
