Cults Sing A Song About Hot Chocolate On Yo Gabba Gabba!

The music Cults make is already so freshly goodhearted, you could actually get away with calling some of their tunes “kids music.” So it makes a lot of sense that they’d be one of the many indie-ish guests on Nick Jr.’s surprisingly relevant Yo Gabba Gabba!. They sing a song called “Hot Chocolate” which is about as specific as the title implies; they cheerfully dance among Christmas decorations, the keyboardist is holding a mug as he plays, and Madeline Follin and Brian Oblivion both charmingly over-enunciate their lip-syncing. Sing it with me, “drink it plain or add some stuff! /whipped cream, cinnamon, creeeeam puffs!” The song was written by Ben Schultz and Steve Barret and you can watch it below. Honestly seeing stuff like this makes you wince at all the lewd comments people have been making about Follin for a whole year now. [Stereogum]
