CSS Releasing New LP, 'La Liberación,' Aug. 29
It's been nearly three years since we last heard from the raucous Brazilian band known as CSS. But it would appear that they have spent that time working on La Liberacion, which serves as the follow-up to 2008's Donkey. And if the press release for La Liberacion is any indication, it could be a return to form for CSS as singer Lovefoxxx said that her mantra for the record is "Rip Shit." You might remember that the band received some pretty harsh criticism upon the release of Donkey. Many critics panned the album for lacking the raw energy of their acclaimed self-titled debut, which dropped in 2006.
La Liberacion is due out Aug. 29 via CSS's newly inked deal with V2/Cooperative Music/Downtown Records.
