CSS To Cover Breeders' "Cannonball"

Continuing the theme of surprising upcoming covers, the Brazilian electra-pop
act CSS will be featuring a cover of The Breeders' "Cannonball" as a B side on their upcoming single "Left Behind" (no word yet if Nicolai Carpathia is contributing vocals). Once upon a time, "Cannonball" was a top 40 hit, and the most successful song a member of the Pixies would ever record. It'll be interesting to see what CSS does with it, especially since the band's MySpace page lists their genres as "Grunge / Reggae / Melodramatic Popular Song." "Left Behind" comes out July 14, while CSS's second album, Donkey, comes out a week later. [NME]
