It’s been quite a long time since we’ve had a dispatch from camp Crystal Castles, and that’s for good reason: The band has been hard at work on their sophomore album, which is, according to Pitchfork, due out sometime this summer (probably June). Details remain woefully scarce at this point, but yeah, new album maybe this summer.
In other Crystal Castles news, the band is also going to be releasing a 12-inch single on Record Store Day (April 17) that will include three tracks the band recorded in 2004 before frightening you with electronic maelstrom of its debut album. The single will be limited to only 500 copies, and won’t be released in any other capacity, so good luck with that one, Crystal Castles completists. [P4K]
