Crosby, Stills, Nash, and almost Young on Colbert
Crosby, Stills & Nash turned up on the Colbert Report last night, and the legendary lefties traded the expected political witticisms with faux conservative Colbert before stepping up to the mics for a live version of "Teach Your Children," but the two funniest moments involved the group's sometime member Neil Young. Or more specifically, they involved Young's absence from the proceedings.

 

Colbert took the opportunity to interview the trio whilst resting his derriere on a cardboard cutout of the Candian folk-rock icon, at one point inquiring whether it's an incovenience to CSN to have to change their stationery everytime Young leaves the band. Then, when the Colbert-dubbed "peaceniks" took the stage for "Teach Your Children," they were joined by a shadowy fourth figure in Young-esque garb and cowboy hat pulled down low, as America met it's newest supergroup, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Colbert!
