Courtney Love Would Not Like You To Call Her Courtney Love

In an interview with NME, Courtney Love has apparently decided that she'd no longer like to be known as Courtney Love. Rather, she'd like to be called Courtney Michelle, her real name.

We've all decided we don't like her any more," the Hole singer told The NME magazine. "We love her when she goes onstage, but I don't need her in the rest of my life," she added.

 

The irony is that Courtney was the one who decided to be called Courtney Love in the first place, since her real name is Courtney Michelle Harrison, and no one would have called her Courtney Love if she hadn't decided she wanted to be called that in the early '90s. But, whatever, fine. I bet that she's credited as Courtney Love on Nobody's Daughter (which is out next week), though. [Daily Swarm]
