We reported yesterday that Courtney Love had been served eviction papers from her landlord after she apparently changed the decor of the house, caused a fire, and owed several months' rent. But as you might have expected, the Hole frontwoman isn't going to leave without a fight.
According to the N.Y. Post, Love is completely refuting all of her landlord's claims. She said that she was given permission to repaint the home and that she has paid the $27,000 rent every month. She contends that her landlord is looking to get the last two months upfront, which Love said she would happily pay.
In fact:: "Even though it's not required, I'd happily pay that and another six months' rent upfront if she would extend the lease for six months. I have repainted, but I asked permission, and used a painter approved by the owner."
Well, we'll be looking forward to hearing what happens when this goes to court, which is apparently soon. [NYP]
