According to documents obtained by The Fix, Courtney Love no longer holds the rights to the image of her late husband and former Nirvana frontman, Kurt Cobain. Apparently she relinquished control of all publicity rights to daughter Frances Bean. In 2010, she stepped down as manager of End of Music LLC, the company that makes money from Cobain's intellectual property, in exchange for a $2.75 million loan from Frances' trust fund.
The Hole frontwoman won't make any money from the use of Cobain's image until her loan is paid off entirely. And on top of this, Love also has no say regarding the music of her husband, 100 percent of which is owned by Primary Wave's Larry Mestel. Quick, somebody get Dave Grohl! [Spinner]
