Courtney Love Forbidden from Using the Name Hole

“The way I look at it, there is no Hole without me,” Eric Erlandson recently told Spin magazine. He was referring to Courtney Love’s desire to release a solo album under the name of Hole, which she is banned by contract from doing. The band formed in 1989 and split up in 2002. Their breakup came amidst a breach of contract lawsuit from Universal Music Group. Love was also sued earlier this year for Twitter and MySpace rants against designer Dawn Simorangkir—and for allegedly failing to pay her. She released the solo album America’s Sweetheart in 2004, but it didn’t sell much. “I love her a lot and I wish her the best, and I'm open to discussions regarding the real Hole,” says Erlandson, “and if she has a solo album together, I think that's great. I think she should finish it and put it out and do that." [Starpulse]

"The band split formed in 1989 and split up in 2002." Fix that.
