Court Rules Sublime Members Can't Use Name During "Reunion"

A court ruled yesterday that surviving Sublime members, who performed as Sublime at this year's Smokeout!, cannot use the Sublime name in future endeavors, following a request made by the family of deceased lead singer Brad Nowell, who own the trademark of the name. The family had written in late October that they were considering legal action, and this proves they weren't kidding. For now it seems like a band's name won't be sullied by a fake reunion tour.
