Control trailer

Fresh from generating good buzz in Cannes, here's a sneak peak at director Anton Corbijn's Joy Division biopic Control. Super duper bonus points for the trailer's incorporation of some of Low's glacially slowed down version of "Transmission." Funny how, what with the French subtitles and those thick Manchester accents, one could really believe there's a language other than English being spoken.

prpbably one of the best things that 2007 has to offer!! erm, this and the fact that i got to photograph TONY WILSON at coachella :)it's nice to get a taste of a year's worth of my eager anticipation for this film. with a fantastic cast including samantha morton and newcomer sam riley, whose portrayl of ian was deemed "spectacular" and "outstanding", eye catching cinematography, compelling storyline and, of course, a brilliant soundtrack i'm sure the product can't disappoint. aaah - bless anton. bless him.sheesh. i sound like an obsessed joy division pseudo film crytic.

Is Manchester really that bleak? It looks like another planet.

[...] like generating great buzz didn’t translate into any award love for the Joy Division biopic Control at the 60th Annual Cannes Film Festival. Nothing for director Anton Corbijn or breakout star Sam [...]
