Continuum Set To Publish 33 1/3 Books On Kanye West, Aphex Twin, Andrew W.K.
Publishing company Continuum began printing its 33 1/3 series, in which individual albums are explored in 100-plus-page installments, in 2003. And while the books have traditionally been about albums that came out as many as 30 or 40 years prior, the latest batch will take on several strikingly contemporary albums: Andrew W.K.'s I Get Wet (2001), Sigur Rós' ( ) (2002), Danger Mouse's The Grey Album (2004), J Dilla's Donuts (2006), Kanye West's My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy (2010), and Björk's Biophilia (2011), among others.
The authors this time around include British songwriter Peter Astor, who will be writing about Richard Hell and the Voidoids' 1977 Blank Generation, and Christian songwriter/producer Phillip Sandifer, who will be tackling They Might Be Giants' 1990 Flood. Check out the full list of new titles below; expect most if not all of them to hit shelves sometime in 2013 or '14.
