Contest: Predict the sales of 'Neon Bible'

It's Arcade Fire mania this week as 'Neon Bible' finally gets its release today and with that we're bringing back our first week album sales contests. Check out Prefix's review of Neon Bible here. Will an indie label land the #1 record in the country this week? Take a look at the competition here. Earlier this year the Shins hit #2 and sold over 100,000 copies. Will Arcade Fire top that? Take a guess below in the comments.

Not much competition for that #1 spot. That B.I.G. greatest hits album might move some units though. I'm guessing 70,000 units.

So if the Shins sold over 100,000 without Dave Park posting about them every day then they would have to sell more than them, right? And does the special edition and all of that **** count? I don't know but I will say:103,666 copies.And, of course, I am just playing with you Mr. Park. Kinda. Because I know you probably will buy the 666 copies for all of your friends and relatives. Bible jokes. Hill. Air. E. Us!

89k is my prediction. I hope it exceeds that, though. Some industry "experts" are saying that their big competition for the week is actually Relient K's new album. I guess Christian poprock still has a large enough audience, because some are saying they'll hit 100k. I'll believe it when I see it.

According to Billboard it sold 92,000 copies and debuted at #2. Some long dead and way overrated hip-hop dude took the number one spot and sold 99,000 copies.
