Gotta see My Bloody Valentine play in front of a crowd that large! Epic noise...epic crowd size! Scale changes everything!

March 18, 2009 at 2:11 p.m.

Some great bands playing, but I haven't seen The Chemical Brothers since April 20th, 2001. Blew my mind.

March 18, 2009 at 2:34 p.m.

I'm sure many will agree but.. I am looking forward to seeing Girl Talk since it's always a dance party at his shows.

Can never miss a chance to see the Cure in the US! Loved them since I was 10 years old! I would also love to see Girl Talk. Missed him when he came to Nashville, and not sure he will be invited back. Ha! I heard it was the best party ever!

March 18, 2009 at 2:48 p.m.

Lots of great artists on the lineup, but my favorite: Ghostland Observatory are amazing live.

The Black Keys! I saw them in Red Rocks last summer and they ROCKED! (pun intended)

March 18, 2009 at 3:47 p.m.

I want to see almost all of them, but my top pick would have to be X.

March 18, 2009 at 3:58 p.m.

It's a tie between Leonard Cohen and My Bloody Valentine for me.

March 18, 2009 at 3:58 p.m.

I would say MBV is my most desired artist, due to the rarity of their performances. This goes for Leonard Cohen, Paul McCartney, Throbbing Gristle, The Orb and Murder City Devils as well.

March 18, 2009 at 4:07 p.m.

Also Fleet Foxes

March 18, 2009 at 4:09 p.m.

Leonard Cohen is my top pick.

March 18, 2009 at 4:17 p.m.

The Yeah Yeah Yeah's new album is amazing, so I'd kill to see them.

March 18, 2009 at 4:26 p.m.

god so many, Leonard Cohen is a must, Presets, Fleet Foxes, TV on the Radio, YYY, Hercules and Love Affair and Devendra Banhart are all close seconds. Oh and getting kicked in the head by Anton Newcombe

March 18, 2009 at 4:30 p.m.

Man that's close between Hercules and Love Affair and Blitzen Trapper. I always seem to miss them when they're in town.

March 19, 2009 at 11:51 a.m.

How can I possibly list name just one artist or band? There's just too many that I want to see - and that list included Amy Winehouse before she dropped out. But in all honesty, I sighed when I saw Los Campesinos! in the line-up.

"And woe is me / And woe is you / And woe is us, together."

Bring us together, please!

By the way, I'm retweeting this @iexitmusic.

March 19, 2009 at 12:37 p.m.

Whoo boy: Beirut are amazing, any chance to see them again would make my life. Also the Black Keys, TV on the Radio, LupetheFiasco, Devendra Banhart, Calexico, and plus I hear that Leonard Cohen can still rock a stage, and the Cure and Paul McCartney would be worth just being within miles of.

March 19, 2009 at 12:39 p.m.

The cure
Biggest band on earth.

March 19, 2009 at 1 p.m.

You really shouldn't make fun of Robert Smith, Sobitas. He isn't that fat.

Who are we kiddin'?
He's a fat clown.

March 19, 2009 at 1:20 p.m.

Like John Wayne Gacy, but with less killer talent.

March 19, 2009 at 2:22 p.m.

Leonard Cohen hasn't playing in America in 15 years. His show's have almost always cost 300 dollars or pounds when I've tried to go in the past.

I'd be missing out on a chance of a life time!

March 19, 2009 at 2:32 p.m.

So stoked to see The Black Keys and Noah & the Whale.

My Bloody Valentine, for the fact that they have summed up their members and decided to reunite. It's always interesting to see how their music influenced other bands and see them perform live.

Leonard Cohen, just because he has written so many memorable lyrics in his life and given such great material for other musicians to cover.

Molotov because Mexican rock music is being represented. I've loved these guys since 2000 and can't get enough of them. I want to see the chaos that their show will ensue.

March 20, 2009 at 12:25 p.m.

Sir Paul McCartney!

March 20, 2009 at 12:27 p.m.

Paul McCartney because he is a living legend. Enough said.

March 20, 2009 at 12:27 p.m.

March 20, 2009 at 2:26 p.m.

I really really want to see Yeah Yeah Yeahs. And TV on the Radio. And The Cure. And Theivery. OH! And PB&J!

March 20, 2009 at 6:41 p.m.

It is tough to choose:

First, the Cure... When I turned 16 - during the Fascination Street tour, my brother bought tickets for us to go see them play in Worcester. It was my first drive without parents and the first real taste of freedom. We were on the floor in a huge stadium and I am still haunted by the green strobe that clang to the bass in Forest. There music comes to me in dreams and I would want to see how they fill the mystical desert with their sound.

Leonard Cohen, who I have not seen ever live, but whose voice rattles in me after of years of long somber nights searching for the miracle to come. Hallejuel....

My Bloody Valentine who could be the tipping point to my final flirt with deafness and by sensational audio overload. How I want it to happen!

And the Yeah, Yeah, Yeahs, Franz Ferdinand, and TV on the Radio because we all grew into our careers together and for the fact they have been neighbors in my past. Support your local band!

Man, I could go on and on about each band playing...

March 21, 2009 at 10:01 a.m.

There are many great artists playing this year at Coachella...but I think Paul McCartney stands out clearly as the #1 favorite artist that I would LOVE to see play. Love the new Fireman album, Electrical arguments. Hope he plays something off that.

March 21, 2009 at 2:52 p.m.

Is it even possible to pick one particular artist to see at Coachella? Each one brings something different and new to the table. The lineup this year is unique in its own right. So, as hard as it may be, I will give my top 10, in no particular order.

1. Morrissey
2. Silversun Pickups
3. The Presets
4. We Are Scientists
5. Cloud Cult
6. Band of Horses
7. TV on the Radio
8. Vivian Girls
9. The Kills
10. Yeah Yeah Yeahs

I am really looking forward to seeing a legend such as Leonard Cohen play to all the young whipper snappers. I am equally excited about Ariel Pink and Haunted Graffiti blowing people's thinking caps. And I feel everyone should be thankful that My bloody Valentine is going to grace us with their rare beauty.

So many! Paul McCartney. My Bloody Valentine. Probably won't have another chance to see Leonard Cohen!

March 31, 2009 at 5:28 p.m.

We once opened for the Yeah Yeah Yeahs at the Indian Summer Festival in Scotland. We were bright eyed newbies wandering aimlessly in the Artist Tent area. I had a black T-shirt with a screenprint of Bjork sticking her tongue out. It caught Karen O's attention, for she pointed at it and smiled as she rushed to the stage. All that blushing took a year or two off my life, but regardless, it MADE my month.

Earier, I told the audience that I had a crush on her, but not to tell, because it was a secret. I wonder if anybody spilled the beans??? Anyhoo, I'd truly love to go to Coachella.

ps If Paul McCartney plays "I've just seen a face", I promise to tear up and violently shake an adajecent person's shoulder, as I scream "Woo Hoo!!!"

March 31, 2009 at 6:58 p.m.

i can't believe that I'm about to post this...but when I was 12 I used to cry myself to sleep thinking "Paul McCartney is the love of my life....but he's just too old for me!!!" Little did I know that he would start dating women so much younger than himself and that he'd be playing at coooaaachelllllaaaaa 2009 :)... so yeah, I'd say I'm excited to see him and THE CHEMICAL BROS!!

March 31, 2009 at 7:46 p.m.

CONOR OBERST AND THE MYSTIC VALLEY BAND!! honestly who wouldnt love to see these guys.

April 1, 2009 at 12:06 a.m.

I'm really looking forward to seeing The Horrors. They were so hyped up in '06 and seemed like they would be a passing fad, but I've heard some of their new album, which they produced with Chris Cunningham, and it's so goddamn good.

I've only seen them in the tiny, dark Annex space in NYC and would love to see how they hold up in a big fest.

April 1, 2009 at 12:08 a.m.

Also, M.A.N.D.Y. and Supermayer are both playing on Sunday and those are going to sound incredible in a big outdoor space!

April 1, 2009 at 12:10 a.m.

Lastly...The Cure. I don't care how old I am or they are, that sh*t is never going to die <3

Unknown when I could ever have another chance to see their reunion live. Just Saturday is cool for me, to also see The Orb, Brian Jonestown Massacre, & Public Enemy.
