Unless youre a real Bright Eyes nerd, and I mean like a really big one, (and Ive lived with one, so I know what I am talking about) you probably only have a handful of the records that have been released throughout Conor Obersts rather prolific career.
On October 24, Saddle Creek is going to make it easier to become a completist, and own some of his more obscure songs such as the beautiful Drunk Kid Catholic released on 3 Hit Songs in the UK/Europe.
Noise Floor will be released as a 16 track CD and a 21 track vinyl release. I hope Im not the only one who feels that the five vinyl-only tracks are a touch unnecessary, especially since Noise Floor is meant to help strengthen ones Bright Eyes collection but I digress.
If youre looking for something to tide you over until Mr. Obersts new as-of-yet untitled record comes out next spring (which includes the talents of Janet Weiss and alt-folk star Gillian Welch), Noise Floor might be exactly what you are looking for.
