Common starts new website, plans to sell album for 99 cents

As the release of Common’s Universal Mind Control nears, he’s branching out into the web in a couple of new ways. First, after being inspired by Kanye West’s heavily viewed blog, Common will be starting his own blog at ThinkCommon.com. Nothing is there for now but it’s sure to be worth checking out once it begins. In the mean time, Common is teaming up with Microsoft of co-promote his new album and their new Zunes. On the Dec. 9, Zune users will be able to purchase the album for just 79 points (a.k.a. 99¢). You will have to be a Zune user to take advantage of the deal, but if you’re considering getting one, this could be a reason to get off the fence. [HipHopDX]

Interesting move. I wonder how much loot Zune is giving Common?
