Yesterday, we reported that poet/author Dr. Maya Angelou was "surprised and disappointed" in the fact that Common used the n-word on their track together on the rapper's new album, The Dreamer/The Believer. But later that night, any and all "controversy" was completely cleared up when Common appeared on BET's 106 & Park.
Angelou herself called into the show to discuss the issue at hand, which she clarified by saying that she was only surprised. She went on to say she thinks Com is brilliant and surely on his way to being a true genius while adding that maybe he'll stop using the n-word next week. As you might expect, the Chicago spitter was cheesing the entire time.
