The AT&T Blue Room provided plenty of opportunities for homebound music fans to either enjoy highlights from this weekend’s Coachella or to cast envious glances at the revelers who were subject to impressive sets from Portishead, Prince, Spiritualized, and…gah! I’ll admit it, I wasn’t there, and I’m jealous. Some of the Blue Room footage has made it over to You Tube, and these two clips from Brooklynites Animal Collective are among the best. The Collective even found time to include a subtle reworking of “Comfy in Nautica” from Panda Bear’s lauded Person Pitch, giving the song a rare live outing. The other clip here is “House,” which clearly indicates the band’s love of trance, and contains a synth melody that is strangely reminiscent of the original version of Candi Staton’s “You’ve Got the Love.”
