Comedy Central Renews 'Tosh.O' For Fifth Season

Comedy Central has ordered a fifth season of Tosh.O.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Comedy Central is ordering a “super-sized” run of 30 episodes. The fourth season of Tosh.O premiered to an audience of 3.1 million viewers, so the renewal is not surprising. The second half of the fourth season will begin airing on Tuesday, Sept. 25 and the fifth season will debut in Jan. 2013.

"Despite the fact that Tosh.0 has more viewers than any other show on our network, and that Daniel has totally catalyzed his fans online, we still convinced ourselves to pick up the show for another season," said Kent Alterman, Comedy Central’s head of original programming. Tosh also offered his own joking comments on the renewal, saying "It's hard for me to get excited about anything when the Miami Dolphins look so terrible."
