Collaboration between Doherty and Winehouse derailed by sensitivity

In a shocking development that no one who follows music could have seen coming, the rumored collaboration between Pete Doherty and Amy Winehouse has been derailed. While the list of possible reasons runs the gamut of death, drugs, incarceration, or incoherence, the actual culprit was a terrible case of hurt feelings. Doherty said that while jamming with her over the summer, he played the singer his “best new guitar riff.” After listening, Winehouse reportedly commented that Doherty “wasn’t very inspired.” Doherty said that while he still might like to collaborate with Winehouse, she “pissed on the bonfire” a bit. Winehouse has not commented on the incident, but one would imagine she’d be torn to shreds to know that she had besmirched someone’s best new guitar riff. [Contact Music]
