Colin Newman, the vocalist and songwriter of Wire, has returned to his side project Githead after last year's Object 47, the 47th release by Wire (Newman sure loves his smarmy names). Githead, also featuring Max Franken of Israeli punk band Minimal Compact and Scanner's Robin Rimbaud, was formed in 2004 and released an EP and two full albums in the next few years. The band has just announced Landing for a November 10 release date, and it once again features the kind of minimalist experimental pop that Newman has mastered ever since Wire's 154. [Githead]
