Coldplay have gone the easy route (like they've done their entire career...boom!) and settled the lawsuit guitarist Joe Satriani brought against them in December. Coldplay have apparently acquiesced and confirmed that at the very least, Satriani's "If I Could Fly" is similar to "Viva La Vida." But as part of the settlement, Coldplay will never have to admit any wrongdoing, and Satriani will be able to put an addition on his house, or finance another Chickenfoot album, which is what I think we're all hoping for*.
