Coldplay, as you know, have an album out on June 17 (out June 12 in the UK) that leaked this week. Well, in order to cut down on the number of you Internet hucksters who already have the album and have told everyone you know how much it sucks (or rules, I have no opinion, I haven’t heard it), the band have announced they will be streaming the album in its entirety at 8:30 p.m. GMT, which, if my time zone math is correct, means 4:30 p.m. EST.
Whether this will cut down on illegal downloads of the album isn’t clear, but the album is already the best selling album presale in iTunes history, and is also on track to beat Jack Johnson’s Sleep Through the Static in first week iTunes sales. [NME]
